Wednesday already...time's a flying! On Monday, 'someone' received some STAMPlorations happy mail that 'may' have included a stencil (or seven, and maybe a stamp set, or five) and I set about playing with them. As you know, I'm pathetic when it comes to water-coloured, or gessoed, or other-stuff backgrounds. I'm also still very amateur with layering images; although I am aspiring to make a 'real' collage card in the near future. Given my, shall we say, 'talents' *ahem* I decided to let those lovely stencils speak for themselves.
I'm so delighted with these...they're simple and, in 'person,' rather pretty. Gotta love it when fabulous products do most of the work!
First, a butterfly stencil (or course *grin*)
Second, a butterfly stencil (yep....)
Third, a marvelous happy-making flower stencil:
The trio...

Sensational, Carol! Who knew that stencils could be sponged so easily and beautifully and you didn't need to use paste and jelly plates and schtuff? It's fun that we are both discovering this at the same time. I love your trio, especially how you multicolored the Happy Flowers!! Hugs, Darnell

ReplyDeleteSWOON, SWOON, SWOON - all over the place SWOONING - I love these cards!! Your butterfly ones are just amazing and so well done!! And the colors are fabulous on each!! And your flower one is stunning and it stands out to me because I love flowers the way you love butterflies - but unlike you and your awesome talent with butterfly products - I feel so not good at flowers!! This stencil looks like a must have - I really enjoy stenciling so maybe I should order a few or so, or a dozen or so!! =]

I am really impressed and inspired by the different ways you did your stenciling and you've encouraged me to get out of my stenciling rut and try out some new techniques.
