Just a quick post today because I *have* to run at break-neck speed to read about the epic adventure of six card-making gals who I absolutely adore and love. This amazing group of BABES (Benevolent Association of Beloved and Esteemed Stampers) spent a glorious week together; the result of a year of planning and traveling a grand total of 20,350 miles (32,558 km) to and from Minnesota. Crafting, companionship, shenanigans...these gals made their dream of meeting one another come true. And I'm soooooo excited to find out all the details. Come and join me on a visit to the blogs of the amazing and awesome Kim , Darnell,, Bev , Ardyth, Geri, Anita
Guess I'd better share my card before I dash:
Two for today...
The first one is heading off to CAS(E) this Sketch #97
My second card is version #2 of the one in my previous post; the sentiment is embossed in a lovely sparkly bronze and that snowflake that looks kind of green is NOT! It's gold. Really! Lighting issues, especially with daylight slipping away earlier and earlier (daylight saving for us starts Sunday...an extra hour of sleep, but it will be dark here by 4:00....). Anyway
Both are also off to Simon Says Wednesday Challenge~Anything Goes
Now, I'm off to check out the BABES!!
Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!
Carol what a lovely take on the sketch! I love the rich red and gold!

ReplyDeleteTwo absolutely gorgeous cards, Carol! Your foil snowflakes are so pretty, and I love how you placed the die cut panel and sentiment on the first one! Fab take on the sketch, too! Your trio of snowflakes on the second card are so elegant...I know lighting can be a problem, but I'll bet the gold one is stunning IRL!
ReplyDeleteOoooo! These are SO pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove your take on the sketch! It's simply stunning and gorgeous! As is the second snowflake card! Even if the little snowflake would be this shade of green it would look awesome!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful snowflake cards Carol. Love the colours and design. Loll xx
ReplyDeleteLove those snowflakes :) Better on a card than on my driveway to shovel away LOL! Great take on the sketch and love the use of kraft and that amazing font for the sentiment on the second one!!
ReplyDeleteMan you are Rockin the foil snowflakes!! Gorgeous cards!!

ReplyDeleteHey there C - I must say that these cards are simply gorgeous and then I have to say it again - They are simply gorgeous!!! Sorry I have not been around - I finally made a new blog post - maybe you can come by and I think you might want to stop by the Simply Create Too blog!! Your Peace card is such a stunning and exquisitely done take on the CAS(E) this sketch for this time!!! Love the awesome bursts of color those snowflakes are on your second card!! Love them!! Sure hope you are doing well and I apologize for not being around - I am finding that I simply don't feel like myself right now!!! But I am hoping some time and self-love will help that!! Thanks for being an inspiration!!!
ReplyDeleteAh, C, you've done it again. Both cards are so wonderful. I love the clean and simple look. And the die cut panel in the first one is stunning. It makes me want to get one. haha Thank you for the inspiration! :)

ReplyDeleteThese are so delightful! And appropriate for today--we got our first snow of the season! It's wet and slushy and not all that pretty on top of all of our leaves, so I much prefer the pretty snowflakes you used on your cards today. Lovely creations!
ReplyDeleteSo fun to see your tags on Tracey's blog this morning! I love them!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are gorgeous, too!

2 beautiful card, Carol, but the first one really grabbed my attention! Gorgeous work, my friend!
ReplyDeleteWasn't that a dream come true for the BABES?!! I love that they could make that happen. They are an awesome bunch of ladies and I was so happy for them. It looks like they had a fabulous time and how could they not?!! I am so in love with these two cards Carol! Those snowflake dies are amazing!! I love the way you layered two snowflakes on the first card, love that die cut out in the middle, so elegant look is this card! The second card is amazing with all the different snow flakes. I did think that one was green. lol But now we know it isn't and it is gold! I don't like since the time changed either. except for the extra hour sleep. lol We are dark at 5, so we get an hour longer than you do. Thank goodness I don't live in Alaska, I wouldn't like only a few hours of light a day! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteNow that I've managed to tear myself away from one card, you present me with yet another one that has these wonderful snowflakes! Well, make that two. How do you do that? How do you come up with these wonderful stunning designs and then managed to create these crisp wonderful cards? I mean, those little red sprinkles on the first card are just genius! It's such a tiny detail, but it just gives the entire card an amazing oophmf factor!
