My card definitely leans more to the "and More" part of the challenge, as the only stamping is the embossed sentiment, which I've had in my stash for a couple years and have used maybe twice! *palm smack on the forehead* All this time...and only yesterday I discover it? Oh well, it will receive plenty of love in the days to come. My snowflakes are a combination of WPlus9, Memory Box and Poppy Stamps, die cut in foil paper. A simple card (perhaps too simple...does it need to splatters? Maybe some embossing? I'm only asking because I think I'll make a couple more for my mom's sale at the senior's residence. Improving the 'pretty' suggestions more than welcome!). I did a second one (too dark to photograph) using a lovely bronze embossing powder, and copper, gold and red snowflakes. I'll share later...
I hope you'll join us in the gallery. The winner of this challenge will receive 3 free digis from

your card is my favorite from all the design team - very lovely!!
ReplyDeleteNot too simple at all - very elegant! I do like the metallic finish to the snowflakes and the lovely flourish sentiment.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't add a thing! I think it's stunning! I love a clean look and this has a clean, but beautiful look! I love the craft background and the colors of the snowflakes in the foil are lovely! Amazing work my friend! Love your new watermark too! (( Hugs))
ReplyDeleteI think this is fab just as it is. Really well balanced. Love the sentiment
ReplyDeleteThat sentiment is stunning, Carol! Yes, please - I want to see more of it! Beautiful card and thanks so much for the shoutout xx
ReplyDeleteI don't think you need to add anything. The foil card is perfect with the kraft and that sentiment is a stunner. My ideas would be to use the same design and have a lovely crisp white base that will make the snowflakes really pop and another would be to use that stunning sentiment as the focus and emboss in gold or silver on white and stamp some tiny snowflakes....you should never ask me questions as I think I just love to pass on my crazy ideas....just ignore me!!
ReplyDeleteBe-a-utiful! There is nothing this card needs, but I know that feeling of unfinished-ness, it's a horrible niggle isn't it! But I think this is as finished as can be :)
ReplyDeleteLoving the watermark - I noticed it before I scrolled down to keep reading and thought maybe I'd just never noticed it before?! I love that it has a butterfly - absolutely perfect for you my darling! ;)
What a great collection of snowflake dies Carol and such a fab sentiment stamp.

ReplyDeleteYou already know that I love the cards you make with your foil paper, Carol. But that you have to wave it into my face, when I'm still struggling to find it over here in Europe :-) the snowflakes are just stunning – and the sentiment is absolutely lovely. Don't mind me, I'm just going to sit here for a while and drool over this card.
ReplyDeleteYou have made me such a fan of foil paper - where I had not felt a need for it in the past, I am now feeling that it is a MUST HAVE!! So great the way you use it with such style and such class!! All that I have seen you create with it has impressed the socks right off of me!! Keep it up, my dear friend!!
