Good Morning,
Today, I'm thrilled, honoured and delighted to be the GD for TIME OUT Challenge #16~CASE with Your Own Twist. The card tantalizing our creative appetite is by the incredibly talented and 'just down the road from me' fellow Canadian, Heather from Bits & Pieces. I'm sure you'll experience a similar breath-taken-away response to her card as I did. Truly stunning...
Given I'm still not quite reconciled with my distress inks and watercolouring, my route in casing Heather's cards took me to die cuts (love my leaf dies) and Memento Inks, with colours from a new batch of dewdrops I purchased recently. Debuting alongside my leaf cluster is the little acorn that's also part of the collection; he's a cutie. Four cuts of the 'thanks' (from PS) were stacked together, then inked with the same colours as the maple leaf, as a nod to Heather's green sentiment.
I'm also sharing at
- City Crafter Challenge Blog #232~Leaves, where my talented, creative and ultra-sweet friend Greta is guest designing.
Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!

ReplyDeleteFall is my second favorite season and your card really does it justice. The colors are lovely! But I really think it's time you and your distress ink sought out counseling :-) I am sure when they see what you did with other things they will be on their best behavior so you give them another chance :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous inking !
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS on your Guest DT spot, Carol!!! Your card is absolutely gorgeous! I'm so impressed with your blending...wow! You have really brought out all of the beautiful texture in the leaves, and I love all the yummy colors! I also love that you added the acorn! Carol, your leaves are so realistic, they are beautiful! Wow! You did an awesome job guest designing...congratulations and thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous leaves and sponging. I SO love fall colours and leaves (other than having to rake them off the lawn LOL).
ReplyDeleteYour leaves are lovely, they look a bit like leather in textures. Your sponging is so smooth and perfect.
ReplyDeleteOh, what lovely fall cards!
ReplyDeleteAnd in reply to the comment you left on my blog, no I didn't knit Sage's hat. I'm a terrible knitter. I have a scarf that I started for her two years ago and never finished I was just thinking the other day that I should take it apart and use the tar to make one of those arm crocheted scarves on YouTube. I'd have a better chance of finishing that! LOL!
Thanks for the lovely comments you leave on my blog, by the way. They always make me smile!
Beautiful card and your leaves look so real! So happy to have you with us this week and you have CASE'd Heather's card with ease. I hope you keep joining us for future challenges as I always like to see what you will come up with!
