I have but one Winnie and Walter stamp set (I know, I know...) - The Big, Bold and Fun - that I won a while back. I've been pondering how to showcase them and voila... Playdate #3
made an appearance...and I could feel myself getting reeled in to trying 'something.' I've been worried I wouldn't do justice to this set, and if you take a gander at the current gallery, where stellar cards aplenty appear, you'll understand my hesitation. Still, a plunge had to be taken; these stamps warrant attention. Plenty of attention.
Once again, I've repeated a technique I quite enjoy (thanks for your patience...): stamping small words on die cuts, then inking. I figured given my solo set, this was one way to highlight a bold sentiment, along with three little word stamps...
Sketch-wise, I reckon I followed it about 50% worth; colour-wise, 99.9%.
A simple card to let the W&W folks know I think this set is pure delight!!
I'm also sharing over at A Blog Named Hero #51~ Spell It Out for Me...lots of letters in this little number *grin*
NOTE: I was just re-reading, gazing at and admiring the Winnie And Walter Share the Love Day 3 Challenge, where we're invited to focus on one W&W stamp or one Simon Says Stamp. Well...this is a focus on my single stamp set, so I'm joining the gallery (Sept. 5). Yayyy....
Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!
LOVE the words on the stars - very clever and fun!
ReplyDeleteFabulous...simply fabulous Carol! I love, love, your stars and what you stamped on them as well...so so creative. With only having one W&W set you really made it shine.

Stamping words on shapes to give them interest and "texture" … of course I never thought of that, so I'm somewhere between awe and envy. Love your card, love the colors, but especially (yes, I'm weird) how nicely the white panel sits on the white card base. Just looks so ELEGANT! :)

The colors from the inspiration sketch are great and I think you are pretty close to the sketch too. lol I love the stars with the little words on them in matching ink, the bold sentiment is perfect and of course with those words, some bling was needed!! Now why were you self doubting yourself young lady?!! You are just as good as the others and you need to stop thinking you aren't!! So there you go, my 2 cents for whatever it is worth. lol Hugs, Brenda
