In thunder, lightning and in rain...the riders came to the race yesterday. And in gusty winds, downpours and freezing cold (seriously...I needed my long johns!), we officiated. Arrived home around 11, on account of issues with timing, baked up the frozen pizza, wined and dined at 11:30...and we're off again today. This afternoon's races run from 4-9pm, so another late night...and an early morning to get to the road race that's a hour and a half's drive from our place. Yeesh...I'm nearing the 'hand my fill' point!
Retail therapy didn't land me any scrapbooking goodies, but I scored a new pillow...at half price, and with a gift card! Yayyy...new free pillow!! Huggles with it planned for tomorrow.
I'm zooming in to share two tags for Tag, You're It Challenge #3 and CAS(E) this Sketch #87. What a fabulous challenge combo.
My first tag is a TOTAL case of this sketch, and of course, my restroom peeps came out to play, as did my new diagonal embossing folder:
The second is for my niece, because I think my girly rocks!!
Off to re-organize my 'officiating' travel bag...adding a heavier coat and long johns, just in case!
I'm behind in commenting again, my friend...A catch-up on the schedule!!
Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!
Loooove that diagonal EF! Great card using it and a fun card for you niece indeed. I have cold goose bumps just thinking about you out in the wind and rain. At least the riders are generating heat by riding but standing in that stuff is not fun - kind of like being a soccer mom LOL!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry that it is so cold, James textd' me this morning that it is really quite cold in Edmonton too! Stay warm! Carol that diagonal EF is just gorgeous! Ii will be asked for the deets my sweet. Gorgeous tags both of them--LOVE LOVE LOVE! How do you find the time!
ReplyDelete...and thank you so much for sharing at Tag You're It!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I like the embossing folder you used on the first tag and those rest room people...cool!
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up...'restroom' people...hahahahaha, but you know, that is what's on the doors.. Two fabby tags, my friend. The one for little Miss T will probably be carried around and then tucked into the pillowcase at bedtime. She'll surely love this. And your first one...fantastic! Great embossing, and that little heart in their hands is precious. Well done, Carol! WWCD (short for winner, winner, chicken dinner!). Stay warm and dry dear heart. Bev
ReplyDeleteWish I could send you our sunny, hot weather--LOL! You're a trooper--hope you didn't need the long johns the next day. Great tags, Carol--love that sketch!
ReplyDeleteThose tags are stunning! Love the tiny heart in the hands of the "restroom" couple! Adorable!
ReplyDeleteStay warm!
What happened to your summer weather? Stay warm, Carol!
ReplyDeleteI love your CASE of the sketch - it is perfect. Your neice is sure to love her tag too. :)
They look awesome! Love those potty peeps :)
ReplyDeleteCute tags! I have some of those "restroom people" too, but haven't used them yet...(even though my daughter thought of a great sentiment for me to use with them!
ReplyDeleteNow I am going to have to use my restroom people - I actually finally ordered them so they are in my NBUS stack. I haven't seen anything using them that is quite as cute as your tags!
ReplyDeleteWe all get behind and some of us don't have the legitimate excuse of bike races that you have! It's all quite exciting, especially when Mother Nature throws a curve ball at you!
ReplyDeleteYour takes on the inspiration are spot on, Carol. I mean spot on!! I think I have some of those restroom people around here somewhere ... Hugs, Darnell
Well, congratulations on the new pillow?? Hope it is a good and snuggly one! heheh! Sorry about all the rain and late nights. I do LOVE your two tags though! How cute are they!! Those little bathroom people are adorable. I've never thought that going into one, but on a tag they are quite cute! haha! I love the embossing on the first one too. That looks fabulous! Have a great week and hoping for sunny days for you! ((Hugs))
ReplyDeleteGoodness I don't know where you get the time to craft in your hectic life....it sounds so much fun though. And these tags are so cute, I love that diagonal EF, and the girly rocks tag will be loved for sure!!
ReplyDeleteI love a good storm ! Only because we don't get many.
ReplyDeleteYour two tags are wonderful ...with your restroom people and hearts! Love them both! Thanks for joining us at Tag You're It!
Wow!! Awesome takes on the sketch!! I esp love the diagonal embossing!!!
ReplyDeleteCute restroom people, Carol (saw them called potty people the other week ... your description is rather more discreet!) and such great embossing ... love all those sweet hearts! Hope by now you're recovering some equilibrium after all the chasing about ... and taking a little time to just breathe. Hectic is fun ... and so is breathing!! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning! These are beautiful - I am speechless which goes to show it's been way too long since I've been to visit because I've forgotten just how talented you are :) I sure hope you're feeling a bit warmer now though my darling! ;)
ReplyDeleteI think I am finally getting caught up, a little anyway. lol I know what you mean about needing the long johns Carol, this weather is really been weird this summer. We are getting rain too and had rain over the weekend in the state of Virginia where we were. But we did manage to get some riding in on the 4 wheeler's between the down pours of rain. lol I'm sorry you didn't find any crafty goodies but so happy you found a great pillow again!! I took my pillow with me too. lol You just rest so much better when you have you own. Now onto your tags, wow, I am loving them both!!! Those rest room peeps are fabulous-don't own them yet, but will before it is all done with. I love the sketch and glad that you did your tag to match. Love, love that embossing folder too!!! I hope you get some good snuggles time with that new pillow Carol! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteBoth tags are fantastic. I REALLY LOVE the first one. Clean, crisp, fun. Gotta dig out my restroom folks. Thanks for the inspiration!

ReplyDeleteWow...these are so sweet. Such a wonderful pair of tags and your images are just perfect. Love them both!
ReplyDeleteGreat, great tags!! I am in love with that diagonal embossing folder - looks so stunning on the tag with both male and female restroom peeps! What fun tags - both of them are awesome!!
ReplyDeleteOh you poor thing being stuck in those conditions! I am a HUGE fan of rain, thunder and lightning...WHEN I'M INSIDE beside a warm, roaring fire!! But outside in it, ICK! YUCK!!!! Your dedication never ceases to amaze me! Sweetest tags ever! The first one had me at the hearts, and especially the heart on their held hands...you know I'm a sucker for my hearts! And the tag for Miss T...LOVE!! The soft background is perfect for making the little lady and the heart pop! Love that side tag too!
