Hello,
Welcome to
Just Us Girls Challenge #758, where Bobby has selected this frosty, wintry mood board as inspiration this week. Lots of pretty possibilities...
Once again,
Annette Elias joins us as our January Guest Designer.
New play things have joined my stash: rub ons (aka: transfers). I've featured a few of them here, inspired by the berries and pine cones images. I added my selections to postage stamp die cuts, in pale blue, red and deep grey, which we see in both the images and swatch. The sentiment is from Midnight Blooms, by Alex Syberia Designs. Although some may consider using rub-ons as 'cheating' or not in step with being hand-made, I don't. My goal is to make cards I'm proud to share and I tell you, these rub-ons do exactly that! Plus, exploring different mediums - including transfers - is just plain fun!
Please head over to the main blog to see my wonderful team's creativity.
Looking forward to seeing your mood board inspired creations in the gallery.
Thank you for dropping by!
Fabulous inspired card! Love the clustering
ReplyDeleteCarol! How exciting... rub ons. Love what you did with them. I have added some to a wish list but have never tried them. This is definitely not cheating... your creativity shines through as always!
ReplyDeleteOh, what pretty run-ons! Love that you made them into postage stamps. Fabulous card, Carol!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! Love the postage stamp design, too.
ReplyDeleteHey if you can find rub-ons that speak to you and that you can get to transfer cleanly, that is a win. This card is beautiful! Thank you for sharing and advocating for creating in a way that works for you to be successful and happy!
