Welcome Inkspirational Challenge #329. According to the calendar, we are about 39 days to Christmas and it will be here in a blink. We know many of you have started - or finished - your Christmas/Holiday cards, but for those who need a little extra oomph or those who love Christmas creating, our Word Prompt Challenge may have exactly the inspiration you need: SANTA. Anything Santa-themed, be it Santa himself, Santa clothing, Santa mustache and beard, Santa glasses, Santa expressions, etc., is welcome.
I've had several of last year's Tim Holtz Christmas die and paper collections sitting in my stash for yep...nearly a year! Finally, Reindeers' Sleigh and Forest Shadows are making their debut, along with the striped background paper and chipboard sentiment. This card took a while to create (ink blending, mainly), but I'm pleased with the results. Not sure I'd consider these dies or this design for mass producing, but for 2 -3 cards for special people, absolutely.
Please head over to the main blog to see the fabulous Santa cards created by my awesome team.
We *Ho Ho Ho* hope that we've inspired you to play along with us.
Looking forward to seeing your Santa sensations in the gallery!
It really is magical! That night sky with the snow, the stars, the moon glow... and Father Christmas! The red and white around the edges is the perfect finishing touch.
ReplyDeleteThis evokes the beauty and wonder of Christmas so well, Carol! Wow!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful full moon snowy sky you created for Santa's midnight ride Carol and so wonderful to get out those stashed away dies! LOVE the candy cane card base too Julia xx
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning, Carol! The sky you created looks very glowy and realistic -a magical backdrop for the beautiful die cuts. Beautiful with pop of red too. Love it! xxx

ReplyDeleteYour scene is breathtaking Carol! Love the 3D aspect~
ReplyDeleteThis nighttime landscape is beautiful and perfect for Santa and his reindeer doing their thing on Christmas Eve. The result is visibly not a mass production card, but well worth your effort.
ReplyDeleteThis could not be more perfect, Carol! Love every inch and totally worth the extra bit of time!
