Color Hues Challenge #75 - Light Blue and Purple - Warm Winter Wishes (Pink and Main embossed snowflakes)

Hello,

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #75, where our wonderful Julie B has selected hues of Light Blue and Purple as inspiration for the next two weeks.  A lovely pairing for Christmas or...anything!

We're also delighted to have Linda Snodgrass joining us as our guest designer.

My card features products from Pink & Main, part of the massive box of goodies received from this Fall's Crop & Create event. The snowflakes were made with a combination dies + embossing folder. Easy to cut out and so pretty! I've used a couple shades each of purple and light blue distress inks for the background; the falling snow is a Simon Hurley stencil + lunar paste.

Looking forward to seeing how Light Blue and Purple inspire you.

Thank you for dropping by!

  1. I just left Marcia's blog, and snowflakes seem to be the perfect answer to a Light Blue and Purple challenge. The ink blending with the embossing folder makes a great background for your lovely snowflakes! Love it.

  7. I think many of us were of the same mind that these colors were perfect for winter/snowflakes! You had better color choices than I initially did for trying to blend Distress inks for the background, and I love how yours turned out, along with those pretty die cut snowflakes! Beautiful card, Carol!!
