Hello,
Welcome to Happy Little Stampers December 2021 Christmas Challenge, where Anything Goes is always the theme, with the choice of an option which, this month, is TOYS. FUN!!
I've recently become somewhat intrigued by various mini albums/folios that I see popping up here and there, so I tried my hand at one, following this tutorial at Polly's Paper Studio. In a nutshell, papers are cut/assembled to create a booklet: a cover, an 'inside' of three pocket and mini card pages, a 'back' pocket and mini card page and the overall back cover. I know: that makes no sense, so I'll let the tutorial and my photos do the explaining.
I used Craft Consortium's awesome Made By Elves collection for my album; the hardest part was making the decision to actually cut into these lovely, sweet pages! I used an Elizabeth Craft Designs pocket die, which was easier than trying to make the one shown in the video (adaptations, right).

Each pocket features a mini card with a front image and three patterned images.

and the inside/back papers used for the rest of the card.

and papers for the remainder of the card.

The next three photos show:
The album spread flat: cover on the right, back cover in the middle and the 4th pocket page on the left.
The inside pages, with the cards tucked into the pockets:

WHEW! Lots of photos! I have more of these in the works, simply 'because'! Fun and easy to make, really! While they can be used as photo albums (small pictures on the mini cards), I think they make for a 'dressed up' Christmas card!
Thank you for dropping by!
Oh my goodness! You have been very, very busy. This is absolutely adorable Carol!
ReplyDeleteHow fun is this?! Oh golly, I love the paper you chose, so charming and delightful. The project looks to be a lot of fun to put together. Thanks so much for sharing, Carol. You've been a very busy elf! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mini album, super papers and design. It's on my "to do" list to try.
ReplyDeleteThose images are absolutely delightful, Carol. I can see why you didn't want to cut into them but the album you made is amazing and so much fun.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! The papers are so much more fun in use and on display over hiding away in a paper pad. ;)
