Hello,
Waving *hi* from sweltering hot - again - Alberta! The heat wave has returned! Yuck! All the more reason to stay inside and craft.
Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #598, where our lovely Vicki has selected Black & White for this week's trend. I'm anticipating a very creative gallery with this combination!
Missees in action once again; this time, a card inspired by one of Karin Joan's talented designers, Miriam de Vos. I used 'most' of the LIMES technique, the brain-child of my talented, innovative friend, Ardyth to create my version. The overall design is similar to Miriam's, but I opted for a die-cut hair style and scrunchie and no pops-of-colour, so as to be true to Vicki's theme. I'm pleased with the results, especially in getting the striped border and strip of washi more-or-less straight! Yayyy! And yes, she's sporting glitter paper glasses, alongside Wink of Stella-ed sentiment and hearts.
Fantastic card, so simple but striking. Anesha x
ReplyDeleteOh golly, Carol, hope the heat subsides soon for you! Not fun, except for that excuse to craft. ;) And my, oh my, what a fabulous card! I adore every detail. Wow! Thanks for sharing. Crafty hugs!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh this is adorable! I love it! You created the perfect girl and I love her striped scrunchy, and those glitter glasses…to die for!
ReplyDeleteVery fun!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely so clever and cool, Carol. I am blown away! You are one of the most talented card makers! I am so impressed! Love the black and white stripe and how it matched her scrunchy! Those eyes are so cool too. Have a great week and hope the temps subside!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this - what a great image. I'd be too tempted to add on a pop of colour and give her some baby blues lol!
ReplyDeleteThis may just be my favourite Missee card yet! So classy in black and white, with the stripes and the pop of glitter for her specs.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool! I love that Missee in black and white with those fab glasses. Love the added hearts and the black and white strip matching the band in her hair.
ReplyDeleteHello Carol..The reason I came here was this card.. it made me think of the photo challenge at Time out. But I see it wasn't inspired by Kim's bag.. but it's Perfect for it. I hope you'll join us there. AND I love Ardyth's LIMES too..I remember the Muse card challenges..and I miss it. Limes could have been used there. Most often I forget to use Limes and case a card. But when I do..the Limes lesson is a good one!
ReplyDeleteCarole... such a cute card! Would be a great addition to the challenge at TIME OUT this week.
ReplyDeleteShe is one cool chick Carol. Love your scrunchie and the cute hearts and stripes on the side. One very impressive card. Love it!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cool card! I love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card, Carol! Those eyes peeking through glittered glasses are haunting and the matching stripes on the panel and scrunchie add a whimsical feel.
ReplyDeleteSo in love with this card....simply stunning!
