Hello,
Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #576, where lovely Nancy invites us to Yellow, Dark Green and Grey for this week's palette.
So...I have pretty yellow and dark green ink, but grey? Not so much...even though I have greys from like four different companies, in four different formulations! Since I didn't want the grey to 'mess' with anything I'd make, I did what I often do when a colour combination is a bit our of my range: rifle through my patterned paper collection, in the hope of finding inspiration or, in this case, of finding a piece that actually works! Once again, P13 paper to the rescue! This luscious leafy pattern has several hues of both dark green and yellow, with hints of grey woven throughout. To accentuate the colours, I paired the paper with pale yellow and dark grey panels. A simple sentiment sticker finishes it off. I tell you, those P13 papers are simply awe-mazing!
Yay for paper to come to the rescue! And what a glorious paper you chose. Those leaves are just beautiful! Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, that paper is perfect with the colors! Nice easy card - between dp and stickers! Gotta love those in a rush :)
ReplyDeleteYou definitely don't want to cover up pretty paper such as this - so doubly perfect! I too have yet to find the perfect grey ink...
ReplyDeleteThat paper is amazing and kudos to you for finding the perfect piece for the colors! This is gorgeous and I love the little sentiment sticker to finish it off!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I have any p13 paper or have ever heard of it for the matter. This is another beautiful slimline card Carol!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any p13 paper either....but I need some! WOWSERS, this card is so gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteWow you really hit the jackpot with that pattern paper. It's beautiful! What a pretty card.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't wait till our challenge went live to see how you made this beautiful card Carol. How lucky to find such a perfect piece of dp - just a perfect match for this weeks colours. Looks amazing as a slimline card. Nice simple sentiment that doesn't take a way from that beautiful paper.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought you stenciled it. That paper was serendipitous, Carol. So glad you had it in your stash so you could make this fabulous card.
