Just Us Girls Challenge #565~Hello (Word Week)...Turnabout Hello

Happy New Year!

May your 2021 be richly blessed with health, happiness, reunions with loved ones and, of course, loads of crafting time! In a nutshell: I hope you experience JOY in abundance!

After a month off to rest and relax, the JUGS team returns, fresh and rejuvenated, with challenges galore to whet your creative appetites.  This week, for Just Us Girls Challenge #565, our sweet Nancy has selected HELLO as our word prompt; perfect to welcome to the new year.  



This month, we're thrilled to have two guest designers joining us: Melanie Hungerford and Carol McFarland. Welcome! Their Hello cards are delights; if you have a chance, do drop in with a Hello at their blogs, as well as those of my fabulous teammates. 

Finally, finally, I brought out my Concord & 9th's Hey, There turnabout and inked up a bunch of panels with various inks. I selected this one for our challenge...


Oh...and I gave my C & 9th mini inks a 'real' work out. Initially, I wasn't sure about them but I tried (at long last!) a technique suggested by other 'esteemed' crafters (i.e. Jennifer M): giving the new stamps a light scrub with a dry cloth to remove any residue, pre-inking. The results were fabulous! A little trick that does the trick!!

    I LOVE your card this week! The colors, the design, everything!!! Being a foreign language and English as a Second Language teacher all of my life (until I retired a year ago!) I love languages and might need that stamp in my collection!!! Happy New Year Carol!

    You always bring 110% to our challenges or any challenge for that matter! You never make the same card twice! This is exceptional and I would have thought it was paper! Thanks for making the challenge pop with this one! Happy New Year my friend!

    This is fabulous!! I don't have that turnabout but you've inspired me to get it on my wishlist - this is such a bright and cheerful card to send to my family and friends who are still social-distancing at home.

    This looks like one of those turnabouts that needs precision - and you definitely have it! Great colours, love the bold main sentiment - and good to know about the ink pads!
