Just Us Girls Challenge #560~Wild Card Week...Candy Cane Merry Christmas (Word Die Cuts)

Hello,

Happy Halloween!  It will be interesting to see how many little trick-or-treators will be haunting the neighbourhood this evening. Hopefully, we'll get a few, as my husband has his 'physically distancing' candy-dispensing plans all figured out.  Lily and I will be watching from afar; no one needs to hear my barky girl going off *grin*

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #560, where our sweet hostess, Angie, is inviting us to use Word Die-Cuts for this Wild Card challenge.

A huge 'thank you' to Karen Walker, our guest designer, who shared wonderfully inspiring cards with us all month. Her finale is fantastic, as are those of my teammates: Sue, Angie, Vicki, Ina, Bobby, Nancy, Lisa and Maria. If you have a chance to leave comments, that would be wonderful!

Slowly making my way into Christmas cards, one of which I'm sharing here. Everything is from The Stamp Market, including the ink! The Merry is inset; Christmas popped up. Simple and easy!

Of course, I *have* to share yet another Halloween card! This was one I made for Scrapbooker and Cards Today World Card Making Day, earlier in the month, where Editor-in-Chief Susan R. Opel challenged us to draw inspiration from any project featured in their Fall 2020 issue and make it our own.  I selected a layout from pg. 73 and wound up with this:

The tall, skinny alphas from The Stamp Market are fantastic and a great way to use up a variety of my teensy patterned paper snippets!

That's it from me; looking forward to seeing how you're inspired to use Word Die-Cuts!

Thank you for dropping by!

  2. These cards are wonderful, Carol. The Christmast one is so neat with that big candy cane. Simple and impactful! The Halloween card looks amazing with all the papers used for the letters and the fun hat as the 'o'. How clever! All of our numbers are going up too high, so we are opting out of handing out candy this year. :( Maybe next! Happy Halloween to you and your sweet little family!

  7. These are both adorable! The Christmas one uses my favorite SM set, and I am thinking about those alphabets...they just may jump in my card sometime soon! Very Cute!
