STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday (May 10, 2020)...Inked Lattice and Foiled Leaf Prints Thank You Cards

Hello,

Welcome to my third Stencil Sunday post where, once again, I'm sharing some simple ways to play with the wonderful array of stencils available at STAMPlorations.

Both cards see me using stencils in the fashion I enjoy most: stars-of-the-stage with an accompanying sentiment that, in the first case, is set within a circle cut-out and, in the second, on a small panel, foam-adhered for dimension. The first card uses ink; the second, foiling.

Card #1

Because the Frayed Burlap is a bit dark, I used it sparingly.

Foiling!! Emerald Watercolout Deco Foil...swoon...and perfect for leaves, which is my stencil of choice for this card.  The difference between this card and the two in my previous Stencil Sunday is that I used my laminator for this version, just to see if I could discern a difference between this and using my die-cutting machine. My conclusion:  the foils adhered wonderfully regardless of the device selected, although I would say the 'smoothness' of coverage is a bit better with the laminator.

Card #2

Emerald Watercolour Deco Foil

The shimmer/shades of this foil are absolutely lovely!

No matter how you use stencils - inked or foiled; as focal features on your card or as 'embellishments' - the results can be sensational! Hopefully, the two cards here have sparked some inspiration for ways to use your stencils.

Before you go:

  8. Oh my goodness, both of these cards are fabulous! I love your ink blending. Always have, always will, so this first card has a special spot for me. SO pretty! And I do love a good foiled card and this one is amazing. That green foil (Emerald Watercolour sounds so much more elegant) is just stunning! I need to get me some of the deco duo glue or whatever it is called! Thank YOU so much for sharing these delights. Hugs!
