Just Us Girls Challenge #522~Trend Week...Striped Thank You

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #522, where sweet Angie has selected STRIPES as this week's Trend Challenge!

We are super thrilled to have incredibly talented Betty Jacobson joining us once again as Guest Designer! Please check out her wonderful card AND video; dazzle guaranteed! As well, please visit my wonderful JUGS team: Sue, Angie, Vicki, Ina, Bobby, Nancy, Lisa, Maria and Cécile. If you have a chance to comment, that would be a real treat; they would love to know you dropped by.

Stripes requested; stripes given! Patterned paper; a (subtle) die cut heart; simple stamped-and-die cut sentiment. Easy...and fun!

I'm also sharing my January cross-stitch accomplishment (goal is a little something stitched once-a-month). My snowman fits the trend perfectly, sporting his fashionably striped scarf and hat!  The material is sparkly; wish you could see it (but then you'd have to look closely and you'd see my lack-of-practice with back-stitching. Wonky outlines! Hopefully, February's creation will show improvement!).

That's it from me! Looking forward to seeing your stripes (whatever directions/patterns they take) in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

  1. Such a lovely card. I like the stripes and the subtle look of the cut heart. So pretty! Thank you so much for sharing your adorable counted cross stitch snowman. He is fabulous. I'm so happy you are making time for cross stitching. Hope you are having fun with it, too. Big, squishy, happy hugs! :)

  6. You may have just given me a solution to what to make as a Valentine for a teenage boy! I think something like your thank you card would work perfectly. And nicely done on the cross-stitch! You don't have me breaking out mine... yet... :D

But I love your cross stitch more, you have done an amazing job, he looks gorgeous, I have in half done in my pile, I just keep getting asked for it and as always I never say no so I go from one thing to another and never get the ones for me made, but I am determined to do for me this year and i will get him finished, hugs Pops x
