Happy New Year and a warm welcome to our first challenge of 2020: Just Us Girls Challenge #517~Word Week. Angie, our lovely hostess, has selected Snowflakes as this week's theme. Perfect for this time of year, especially where I live!
We're thrilled to welcome two talented guest designers to the JUGS family for January: Mary Deatherage and Hannelie Bester, who will join us beginning Jan. 11th. Please check out Mary's wonderful card along with those from the fabulous JUGS team: Sue, Angie, Vicki, Ina, Bobby, Nancy, Lisa, Maria and, the newest member of our team, Cécile. They would love to know you dropped by.
After a couple of weeks of zero card-making, I have to 'ease' back into the zone *grin*, so I'm starting with a simple card: patterned paper sprinkled with snowflakes as the background for my big die-cut snowflake and Christmas sentiment (The Stamp Market). My husband was shocked that I'm still making Christmas cards in January...poor guy! He just doesn't get it! But he really liked my card!
Hope you'll play along with us, especially since you're sure to have plenty of new crafting goodies - some of which are sure to be snowflakes - to share! See you in the gallery!
Thank you for dropping by!
Fun and frosty card, Carol. Great job getting started for next Christmas's cards already! :)

ReplyDeleteI agree, it takes a little (possibly a lot) of easing back into the groove of cardmaking. This is lovely with the snowy pink background and red sentiment.
