November...the month of 'transition' here in Alberta...sunny and warm, grey and cool, windy and rainy, snowy and chilly...all that in the matter of an HOUR! As the saying goes: if you don't like the weather here, just wait 5 minutes! Right now, we're into cool temperatures...with a 'hint' of snow in the forecast. Winter is sneaking in...
Anyway...on a 'warmer' note: Welcome to the STAMPlorations November 2018 CUTplorations Challenge (Give Thanks), where we have this lovely wreath to spark inspiration. The pretty oranges, reds and browns...flowers, sprigs and acorns...so many possibilities!
If you've come from - or are heading to - the STAMPlorations blog, you'll see an array of gorgeous cards created by my team, the majority of which stay 'true' to the image's palette. And then...you'll see what I've created...a complete departure, colour-wise! While I do love Autumn's splendor, I'm also drawn to more 'frosty' hues, especially given our ever-changing weather. Aside from colour, my design pays homage to the inspiration's leaves, circular shape and sentiment. The thanks die is cut with glittery graphite cardstock...such a pretty colour which, I think, pairs well with the purples/blues of the leaves. Hope you think so, too!
That's it from me! Hope you'll play along with us!
Looking forward to seeing your fabulous translations of this image in the gallery!
CUTplorations Challenge Guidelines can be found HERE (they're super simple!). AND, if you play along, you're in the running for the Monthly Prizes!
- $15 gift certificate to the winners in the challenges voted by each design team (5 main winners)
- $5 gift certificate to three (3) randomly picked players per challenge (15 winners total)
