UNIKO STUDIO October 2018 New Release Day 4: Introducing BIG & BOLD Merry & Background Builders: Christmas 2018

Hello,

Welcome to Day 4 of the Uniko Studio October 2018 New Release, where we're introducing BIG & BOLD Merry & Background Builders: Christmas 2018. The first set features delightful Christmas icons - poinsettias (or snowflakes), trees and a dotty HO HO HO; the second includes a BIG Merry sentiment...which you'll see showcased - fabulously - by several of the design team.

Two square cards to share, once again using all but one (a string of fairy lights...debut coming soon!) of the stamps that I simply left, as is, on the backing acetate. Truly, these stamps do ALL the work; all you need do is add ink!

Red, shimmery gold and kraft, for a rustic flavour,

and red and green, for a traditional flair, set at a jaunty angle.

UNIKO STUDIO October 2018 New Release Day 2: Introducing Simply Said Blocks Christmas

Hello,

Welcome to Day 2 of the Uniko Studio October 2018 Release, where we're introducing 2 new stencil designs - Scandinavian Christmas & Christmas Folk Snowflake - and 1 new clear Stamp Set - Simply Said Blocks Christmas.

Stencils are still in transit, so I focused on the Simply Said Blocks. As you've likely noticed in your wanders through the craft-iverse, we're seeing a trend to creating Christmas trees out of various images - cats, dogs, penguins and snowmen, to name a few. With that as inspiration, I've fashioned a 'tree' with the sentiments...hopefully, you can see a resemblance. Another fun make (once the images are lined up...and I see that a few are still a bit crooked...sigh!) and again, easy to recreate.  I'm trying out some new Versafine Clair inks. Oh my stars! They're fantastic!

Joy and Snowflake Merry Christmas...Just Us Girls Challenge #464~Photo Inspiration

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #464~Photo Inspiration, where our lovely Vicki invites us to draw inspiration from this gorgeous, elegant home decor photo! Oh, to have such a flair for design and style in my house!

Two CAS cards today: the first inspired by the shimmery red stars, paired with all that lovely white space, and

(hard to see, but the red is shimmer cardstock...so pretty in real life0

the second, by the red/brown/white palette and snowflakes.

(The white snowflake is shimmer paper, too.)

Definitely clean, simple designs, amped up with the snippets of shimmer. Hopefully a duo that brings you a smile....

UNIKO STUDIO October 2018 New Release Day 1: Introducing Background Builders: Christmas & Jolly Christmas

Welcome to Day 1 of the Uniko Studio October 2018 Release, where we're *re-introducing* two oldies, but goodies: Background Builders: Christmas AND Jolly Christmas clear stamp sets. These two clear stamp sets were launched  in October 2013 HERE and HERE. 

Today, we're breathing some fresh life into these stamps, to show you just how vast their creative potential.

My cards, featuring Background Builders: Christmas, were oh-so-simple to design, as I used the stamps 'as is' straight from the packaging.  A bit of tape to affix the backing sheet to my Misti and ta dahhh...a 100% 'background' stamp!  Kraft, red and gold embossing...a LOT of gold embossing! In real life, these are oh-la-la shimmery!

Sentiment: Most Wonderful (it's awesome!)

Halloween Tags...Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #121, Always Fun Challenges #181, My Time to Craft #382, Inspired By....Halloween

I'm zipping in to share two Halloween tags...because that's what I'm *still* immersed in creating!  My niece and nephew's classmates' mini cards/tags are done (60 on the nose!); just wrapping up with this duo for them, which will be accompanied by treats...edible and non-edible!

A wander through several challenges sparked ideas to bring out my fa-BOO-lous coffin die, along with some other 'vintage' (as in last year *grin*) images....

'Be-witching' Happy Halloween...Inkspirational Challenge #172~Designer's Choice

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #172~Designer's Choice; our wonderful Kylie has chosen 'use vellum'.  EEK! Okay...vellum is lovely but, in my hands, EEK!

We're delighted to welcome Wei as our Guest Designer, all the way from Taiwan. Her use of vellum: brilliant! My wonderful teammates have used vellum in most fabulous, lovely ways as well; please visit them - and Wei - and leave them some love, which I know will be deeply appreciated:

Marina, Sandie, Shauna, Pia, Marlena, Anila, Nonni and Kylie.

Vellum is lovely, but in my hands: EEK! We are not 'close' friends; however, in snippets, we manage, so snippets I did. A LOT of snippets!. As you can see, I'm in full-throttle Halloween creating mode; these are a few of the mini cards (Taylored Expressions) I'm making for my niece's Grade 3 classmates. Eight completely done; another 6 'nearly done'; 12 more to go. Best get brewing with finishing these up! (Hard to see that the belts are shimmery with Glossy Accents; the boots, with Wink of Stella...these are stylin' witches *grin*)

Webs, Ghosts and Spiders!...Just Us Girls Challenge #463~Colour Week

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #463~Colour Week, where our lovely Lisa invites us to use blue, green and purple in our cards/projects. 

We're thrilled to have wonderfully talented Linda  from Lin's Craft Corner joining us once again. Please do visit her, as well as my teammates - Sue, Angie, Vicki, Ina, Bobby, Nancy, Lisa and Maria - who would love to know you dropped by.

Blue, green and purple, especially at this time of year, for yours truly, means one thing: HALLOWEEN! And, since I'm in the midst of creating mini cards/tags for my niece's and nephew's teachers and classmates, I embraced this combination fully!  

A little ghost, embossed spider web, plus a wee spider (who is more cute than scary!), a purple/green/blue inked background (Wilted Violet, Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio) - and a die cut Halloween (Simon Says Handlettered Halloween) to seal the deal! I can't even tell you how much fun I had making these! That Taylored Expressions ghost makes me giggle...those eyes!

Here's the spooky foursome...same, but different...

So, how will *Green, Purple and Blue* inspire you? Excited to find out!
