Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #458~Colour Week, where our lovely Bobby has chosen GREY, CORAL and YOUR CHOICE as our palette.
Such a pretty combination but for some reason, my creativity was lost in transit. Plus, I don't have either true coral ink/papers or nice grey ink/papers. I resorted to casing - shamelessly - a card from Concord and 9th, as a start, in hopes something at least a smidgen more original would transpire...
I was 'this close' to sharing my copied version when, as I was shuffling through my C9 sets, Season Borders made its presence known. These lovely leaves - paired with a die cut sentiment from Painted Rose - were stamped on a very light grey background with a combination of Abandoned Coral and Ripe Persimmon distress inks. Coral, grey and black: challenge accomplished!
For amazing inspiration, please be sure to check out the cards created by my fabulous design team - Sue, Angie, Vicki, Ina, Bobby, Nancy, Lisa, Maria - and our super talented September Guest Designer, Julie Beech.
Looking forward to seeing your interpretations of CORAL, GREY AND ? COLOUR in the gallery.
Thank you for dropping by!
Such lovely cards, Carol. I really like the folk art feel of the first card. The colors you chose are SO pretty. And those sweet blossoms, happy sigh. I also love the colors in those leaves on the second card. Gorgeous! The black sentiment pops off the card. So striking. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLove both cards, but esp that leaf one - it's just so elegant and airy - Your creations are always so stylish and beautiful!!!
ReplyDeletePretty soft colors -- your Fall card is wonderful too!
ReplyDeleteYour CASE is lovely, Carol, but those leaves in the corals are divine.
ReplyDeleteYour first card is very pretty and great use of the colors. Your second card is absolutely gorgeous with those leaves and I love the die cut sentiment. I love how you inked those leaves!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it always the same Carol but there's nothing wrong with a case to get the inspiration going! Two fab cards and I love the falling leaves. :)
ReplyDeleteBoth gorgeous cards, Carol.
ReplyDeleteCarol, Your CASE is so very lovely, but those leaves in this week's colors look fabulous too! Well done once again!
ReplyDeleteWhat stunning cards you have made here Carol. Love the brightly coloured florals on the top one and like everyone else - really loving the leaves. Beautifully positioned and coloured. Fabulous sentiment in the black and the pearls blending in perfectly.
ReplyDeleteSuch different cards for the same challenge and both are absolutely lovely!! I have that little tulip in my wishlist - LOVE it stenciled. And you can never go wrong with bright autumn leaves. The coral and persimmon are gorgeous on the soft gray.
