Many Thanks Mandala Stencil...Just Us Girls Challenge #440~Trend Week

Hello,

A warm welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #440~Trend Week, where our amazing Angie has selected Stencils as the inspiration trend. I love stencils...really love...super love...

If you've come from - or are heading to - the challenge blog, you'll see an array of fabulous cards from our May Guest Designer, sweet talented Patti, from Stationery Styles, and my talented teammates: SueAngieVickiInaBobbyNancyLisaMaria.

Yes, you've seen this stencil before - the Mandala from Studio Katia - BUT, I love it and had to showcase it again. Prior to adding colour, I embossed the stencil to raise the image. Three inks did the trick in creating a 'rainbow-ish' effect: Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Mermaid Lagoon. The Picked Raspberry + Mustard Seed = orange; Mustard Seed + Mermaid Lagoon = green; Mermaid Lagoon + Picked Raspberry = purple. Isn't that cool?  Where did I learn this, you may be asking? From none other than incredibly talented, ultra sweet Amy Rysavy, of Prairie, Paper and Ink fame. Her videos are outstanding and the bonus: she's Canadian! Yayyyy!

Your turn!

Looking forward to seeing your STENCIL sensations in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!
