Bear on a Bike...Inspired by All the Little Things Challenge #79, TIME OUT Challenge #103~Hobbies, Simon Says Wednesday Challenge~Add a Die Cut

Hello,

Popping in, between Olympic events/commercials (currently watching speed skating, which is quite the intense sport, indeed!), to share this card...

My cycling bear was inspired by two challenges: the first, from the image....

Inspired by All the Little Things Challenge #79 (sparked by the bike, colours, brick wall, "love"...because I LOVE bikes...)

and the second, for the theme.

Many of you know that from May through November, one of my past-times/hobbies/passions is my role as a Provincial A bike racing official (aka: commissaire) in the disciplines of road racing (including road events spanning up to 130km; criteriums, which are sketch-fest circuit races; and time-trials, which are fixed distance events), mountain bike racing and cyclo-cross racing (which are hot hot hot in the Fall here, in the US and, especially, in Europe).  I LOVE bike races, even though I do NOT race. The cycling shoes being clipped into pedals...a sound that gives me a thrill, even after all these years. I'm hoping, at some point, to elevate to a National level in Road or 'cross...Anyway, excited for the season to being; bring on the bikes! Yayyyyy....

  11. I've tried to leave a comment on this blog post for a couple of mornings. However, I have a dog that sometimes believes he is a lap dog and while I've been reading blogs the past few days, he's chosen the that time to insist on hanging out on my lap. LOL Once I get his long form situated so he doesn't fall off, I can no longer type! LOL It's pretty funny. What we don't do for our furry friends. For some reason, he's no where near me this morning, so yay! Fantastic card. Oh my gosh, I adore that bear on the bike. You've colored him and the flowers wonderfully! I think that brick embossed background is fantastic, too. Makes me smile in delight! How wonderful that this challenge suits your unique hobby! Thanks for sharing some details about it. Have an awesome day, my friend! Hugs! :)
