Happy middle-of-January (eek!)! Joining my wonderful team with a STAMPlorations CUTplorations January 2018 Reminder Post, where we're drawing inspiration from this oh-so-pretty wintry sunrise scene...
Yes, plenty to spark creativity here - as you'll see from the amazing cards my teammates created - however, too many choices sent me into the 'overwhelmed zone.' When that happens, I really need to narrow my focus (or I accomplish nothing!) and in so doing, I wound up with a minimalist card. As in ultra-minimalist. Purple, blue and the 'shape' that I see in the clouds - the pinkish flower-ish shape that appears in the sky towards the right side, about about a third of the way from the edge, just above the horizon...with the result being this...
Simple card that, I hope, will bring someone a smile...hope you'll be one of those 'someones'!
Please visit the rest of my talented teammates to see their wonderful CUTplorations creations, then bring your STAMPlorations dies out and play along with us! Prizes to be had, my friends...fabulous prizes! Please check out the CUTplorations Challenge Rules here. The linky is open until the end of the day January 31.

Love your card! The purple and blue are so pretty together. So smart to pull that shape out of the photo. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI agree there is so much to take inspiration from in the photo. Love the purple and blue together. :)
ReplyDeleteOodles of sweetness here Carol! I love the stenciling and the fun fonts!!
ReplyDeleteLove how we can all see different things in an inspiration photo. Lovely cas card - pretty colours and built up sentiment.
ReplyDeleteWhat Ina said ;) Great take on the photo, Carol.
ReplyDeleteLove the stenciling on this card and how you created the sentiment. I like how you think to narrow down your focus when you are on 'overwhelm.' I need to remember that. I tend to just freeze completely! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card! Love the colors and stenciling!
ReplyDeleteAnd I know all too well of what you mean of being overwhelmed...though, you still managed to get a card done. ;)
Fabulous card...wonderful stenciling, just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love it cut out of the stenciled background!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had an eye for seeing a portion of a photo and going with it, Carol. I can definitely see where your inspiration came from and it's a beautiful CAS card.
