Hello...
Welcome to Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #398, where this week's invitation is to use fern, rose and steel on your creations. Check out those piled-high-with-icing treats! Scrumpt-dilly-licious, I'm sure! Just a remember when you play along with us: cupcakes not required, just the colour or theme. On the other hands, cupcakes are always welcome...on paper and especially, for real!
This week's challenge is sponsored by DRS Designs. You'll see some of the DT use their images AND if you're the lucky winner, you will be using their images in the very near future! Thank you DRS Designs for the wonderful winner discount!
For whatever reasons, my mind connected the challenge colours with my MFT Sweet Succulents set. Took out my pencils and away I went...
In hindsight, I should have used a slightly heavier touch, but I didn't want to increase the waxy buildup. In real life, they're much brighter, as is the light rose-ink stenciled background I set behind my little cactus garden.
My teammates have some fabulous cards awaiting you, so head on over to the blog, leave them some love, then whip up a card/project of your own. We'd be extremely happy to see your fern-rose-and-steel gems in the gallery.
Thank you for dropping in today; hope you're having a wonderful weekend, even though it's an hour shorter...
I think you had a perfect touch on these prickly delights. They look amazing and so does that lightly stenciled background. I think the wonky stitched die adds a fun detail, too. You create the most wonderful cards, Carol. Hugs!

ReplyDeleteNow I need to pull my succulent/cacti stamps out.... Why? Because your's is so pretty, and I need to see if I can make something nearly as pretty... But your card is pretty close to perfect, they're colored beautifully, I love the gray pots, and the wonky stitched panel is just the right one to have used here. Wonderful card, my friend. Any more GDs on your blog soon? : ) Bev
