Hello,
We're back from our travels, having headed west to honour the life of my husband's sister, who passed away last week. A roller-coaster of tears and laughter. Her husband (of 35 years) and daughter (19) did her proud with the celebration that featured songs, stories, slides and speeches, all infused with deep love. I'm incredibly proud of my husband's speech, with tales shared of little brother-big sister antics and bonding. Being her sister-in-law was an honour and a joy. I miss her...
Deep breath and on we go...
Welcome to Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #221~Anything Goes, which we all know is one of YOUR favourite challenges as much as it ours!
Today, I finally "card-ified" one of the images of the three Wise Men that I've been colouring for Kathy's The 30 Days Colouring Challenge with a variety of pencils. These are Prismacolours. Nothing fancy...just plain ol' colouring...
I've made six so far (a couple using metallic pencils that I'm sort of 'hmmm....' about). Easy to colour and wonderfully spirit-lifting those three kinds are....
Now, turning the stage to you! Looking forward to seeing you in the gallery.

Fabulous colouring, fabulous card my friend. I see a wide range of talent coming from the side of the cooker!! and I don't mean food! Glad everything went well for you and yours at what must have been a time of sadness and joy..........sounds like her family did her proud.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card Carol! Lovely colouring & blending with the pencils. I'm glad you are back safely & despite the sadness it sounds like it was a true celebration of your SIL life. Hopefully you can draw some comfort from remembering the good times.
ReplyDeleteYour sister-in-law's memorial sounds like it was very fitting and loving and good... it's such a hard thing, but when you honor your lost one in a way that feels right, it's wonderful. And yes, one we go... and we always remember. This card is so great. I am wondering about this fantastic image. Where did it come from? You have colored it beautifully, as usual, but I think I might need to have that image LOL. Wonderful card. I love it.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like the celebration of your sister-in-laws life was wonderful and has hopefully started the healing process for all the broken hearts!
ReplyDeleteYour three kings are beautifully colored and look striking!
Oh Carol, the service for your dear sweet sister-in-law sounds beautiful and wonderful. A time for sadness to reflect on the loss, but also one of joy to celebrate the special and unique person she was and will always be in your hearts. I'm glad you made it there and back safely as well. Gentle hugs. As for your card...well, my dear, it is quite simply and for lack of a better word...gorgeous! Your coloring is fabulous. I love the color choices you made. Such a lovely design brought to life beautifully. Wow! Thank you so much for sharing your gifts with us! :) Hugs!
