Okay...simmering down...Time to invite you to Inkspirational Challenges #97, where this two-week inspiration is
Our talented Guest Designer, Jane, along with my wonderfully creative DT
and I, have an assortment of fabulously festive "flakey" cards to share with you. Inspiration? Only yes, yes and yes; please go to the Ink site to see.
I saw an adorable snowman stamp from IO a while back, with a sentiment that read, "Some of my best friends are flakes." I was tempted, but resisted, as I didn't want to potentially offend anyone but...seriously, it was so totally cute. I imagine the people I'd send it to would appreciate the humour (I hope...). In hindsight, should have bought it; I'll add it to my Santa wish list.
My card is obvious snowflake direction: a trio of inlaid snowflakes, cut with shimmer paper, accompanied with some TH sentiment die cuts. My poor cuttlebug is experiencing issues of late, so as simple as this card "should" be to make, it wasn't! I'm adding new die-cutting machine to my wish list, too (gosh, I hope I've been less naughty and more nice this year!).
Your turn...bring your *flakes* to the stage! See you in the gallery!

Oooh, I'd have giggled with the sentiment on that stamp set you mentioned. I'm sure you have been oodles more nice than naughty! Sorry to hear your Cuttlebug hasn't been as nice, though. But, you seem to have gotten it to work well enough to make a shimmery flakey card and tag. Beautiful designs on both.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully delicate and shimmery, Carol ... both card and tag are just a delight! Sorry about the Cuttlebug 'issues' ... even though I know you've been nice, Santa might delay bringing you a replacement machine till the new electronic Big Shot comes out next year ... yes?! Delighted to have you playing along with us at Time Out, my friend! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteOooooh all of your "flakey" projects are just amazing! Snowflakes are my number one favorite stamps/dies, so these are all right up there on my favorites list! I love the inlaid shiny ones! So festive and fun! Stay warm and big hugs!! :)

ReplyDeleteLove your shimmery snowflake card. Living in a part of Australia where Christmas is generally around 30°C I tend not to do snowflake or snow cards but I love seeing the different snowflake designs. Yours are really lovely.
ReplyDeleteI would TOTALLY appreciate that bit of humor, c ... it takes a flake, to appreciate a flake!!! xx LOve that snowflake tag!!!
