I'm on a Christmas card-and-tag mission for the next while because a) I'm behind and b) my husband's brother will be coming soon to tackle some much needed and much wanted updates to our place. The kitchen, where my crafting zone is, may be the hub of attention so...gotta get going while I can.
I'm also embracing the marvelous inspiration from a number of challenges, especially that over at sweet Tracey's amazing In My Creative Opinion~25 Days of Christmas Tags.
As much as I can, I'm aiming to create a card/tag combination, with the cards going to my mom, family and friends and the tags, perhaps, becoming part of my Advent calendar project for my niece and nephew (although I have other ideas in the works...just need to focus. I'd be happy dancing wildly if I could manage 25 cards/tags in the next little while. No, wait: make that ecstatically happy! We'll see how it goes (I've already done one set with the birch trees and Peace die...).
My twosome here is drawn from Tracey's Day 6 eye-candy, with particular inspiration coming from Marybeth's wonderful winter cottage tag:
Cozy, rather chalet-like, shimmery and red...love it! I paired her image inspiration with Freshly Made Sketches #211
and created this little gingerbread scene for my card
and this for my tag...
Another card, another tag....another 'check' on the list!!
EDITED: I'm also sharing my little card/tag combination at Happy Little Stampers Christmas November Challenge 2015
Wishing you a most wonderful Sunday evening; thank you for spending time with me!
Hugs,
Super cute card and tags.

ReplyDeleteAdorable! Love the idea of a card and matching tag. And how awesome will it be to turn the tags into an advent calendar for your niece and nephew ... great idea! xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous image and so dang cute! ! Did you emboss or stamp? Whichever it was, it is sure resulted in a nice even image.
ReplyDeleteJust darling, Carol! Love the little snowflakes in the background!
ReplyDeleteawwww...love the gingerbread houses!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! The matching tag is the best :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, Carol, this is fantastic. I adore the gingerbread house. That's the only way I could probably make one that was remotely pretty. Hee, hee. Yours looks very chalet like as well. :) I adore the little scene you created and especially (after the charming house itself) the flurry of snowflakes. Oooh and the blended background. Wow! Lots of fun technique packed into that card. And then you go and duplicate most of it on that great tag. Love it! Thanks so much for sharing. I hope you get lots of what you want done before the crafty space isn't available to you. Hope you have a great start to your week. Hugs!!
