November 3rd already and guess what: yep...snow on the ground, thanks to a lovely, yet "I'm not ready yet" snowfall yesterday. Nothing like the fall of snowflakes to amp up my festive spirit, with the accompanying realization that my Christmas card stash is low...very low! I'm committed to changing that (apparently my resolution to be 'ahead' of the season fell by the wayside. I'll blame it on my infatuation with my Halloween projects!)...and what better time than with an inspiration card for Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #169~Clean and Simple.
This week, my talented team and I invite you to create a card/project that is clean and simple. Mine - aside from the background hours of puzzling over a design - took less than 10 minutes. Shimmery red foil paper, an inlaid deer, a stamped sentiment....Done. Simple, fairly clean (yes, I should have more white space), and easy-peasy to reproduce. Of course, I missed that *make a few more* step...that would be far too logical *grin*
Please be sure to check out my amazing DT's cards, leave them some love, and then join us in the gallery. This week, one of you will win:
Prize $12 gift certificate
Looking forward to seeing your CAS-ilicious creations!

ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the snow...it was in the 70s today in Buffalo, NY...VERY unusual for November! Anyway, I love your card! I bet that foil is so pretty in person! Thanks for taking the Time Out to play with us!
ReplyDeleteLove the inlaid leaping deer! Is that the new SU red shimmer paper? Looks great! In my humble opinion, I'd say that the amount of white space is perfect! The elements are all so nice and clean & tidy and maintain a very 'airy' feel to your card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful shiny card, Carol! Our family from Canada sent us some snow pics and I enjoy the, I guess, the last few fall days. Winter is coming!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Marlene

ReplyDeletePlease do not use that four letter word, Carol. lol We've been spoiled and I hope it keeps up. I love that deer cut and it is lovely in red foil.
ReplyDeleteLess than 10 minutes? Really? This is a stunner. Really love that red deer. Rudolph has nothing on him.
