Bring on the cupcakes!
A couple weeks ago, an out-of-the-blue email appeared, from Nina, inviting me to be a Surprise Sweetie for an upcoming Cupcake Inspirations challenge. Resounding YES, YES and YES! Today's the day! I'm thrilled, excited, nervous and supremely honored to be joining the Cupcake DT for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #326~Green, White & Navy
Check out these amazing golf-themed cupcakes. Seriously awesome. My husband would be all over the'grassy' icing! And those little golf balls and hole markers? Totally ingenious!
Playing golf isn't one of my fortes, but no way "wood' that prevent me from getting a 'grip' on the colour possibilities, 'putting' my creative "irons" in the fire and giving this my best 'shot.' An 'eagle'-eyed view of the photo lead me to 'follow through' with this card:
Okay, I warned you that I'm not a golf pro by any stretch, so I'll quit with trying to score holes-in-one with my attempts at wit!
As you can see, I drew inspiration from the colours, the banners, the polka-dot tablecloth and, in a move that I haven't exercised in a while, I went with patterned paper and layers. I won't pretend this was my 'first' version, but it certainly is one that makes me happy!
