A *Whale-y* Happy Birthday...CASology #159~Aquatic, That's Crafty~Under the Sea Challenge, Cute Card Thursday#386~386~Anything Goes

Hello!

Aside from the scary windstorm when we were traveling through South Dakota, we've been treated to exceptionally wonderful weather the entire summer. Yes, sometimes, the temperatures were too hot for my comfort zone, but that's fine. Air-conditioned rooms and van: all good.  Of course, now that we're home, the rains have started to fall and the air is definitely cooler...quite cooler.  As in, turn on the furnace cooler.  Autumn is around the corner...

Given the rainy weather, it's fitting that two 'water' themed challenges caught my attention:

and That's Crafty~Under the Sea Challenge.  I'm also sharing at Cute Card Thursday #386~Anything Goes.

My Lawn Fawn whales - both of them this time - came out for some under-the-ocean frolicking in some STAMPlorations stenciled bubbles:


Do you think my niece and nephew would like to give this to my mom (Bacia to them) for her September birthday?  Hoping so...if not, then I will. Tee hee...

    Oh my, how adorable! The expert coloring on the whales, the stenciling, that cute heart! Your niece and nephew probably will want to keep this card for themselves and I couldn't blame them...

    A cleverly thought out card Carol with the stenciling and cute whales. having a nice summers day here (so far) about 20 degrees and sunny. Hope Autumn stays away till October here!

    Oh golly, this is delightful. Sure makes me smile with those sweet whales(huh? who'd a thunk whales could be sweet?)frolicking away. Love the white "freckles." Your lightly stenciled background looks amazing! Fabulous card! :)

    Oooh you are so lucky to be having cooler weather!! I just love cool weather and am so looking forward to fall! Your card is absolutely adorable!! I think it would be super cute for your niece and nephew to give to your mom! I love the light stenciling in the background and those cute cute LF whales!! (Hugs)

    Carol, your shading on the cute, little whales is FABULOUS! Perfectly matched - love ow you left the lighter area on the top of their heads! Pretty little heart too! Yep...your mom is going to love this card! Absolutely BEYOND cute and yep....winner, winner !

    Hi Carol! I was just strolling through the blogosphere, and I found a picture of you! So wonderful to see your face! (It was a Winnie & Walter spotlight post...). Your work is so wonderful and every time I see something you have made it blows me away. Anyway, these little whales are so adorable. Love the light stenciling in the background, and those happy little whales are colored beautifully and frolicking away. Love it!!

    The bubbles background is just soooo perfect for this card. I think you'll have a hard time convincing your niece and nephew to let go of this card.

    I love that soft background behind these two ADORABLE whales - absolutely a FINtastic card - love the soft tones and your coloring is spot on!! Those white accent dots on the backs of the whales just add to the perfection of this card!!! I love it, I "WHALE"y do!!!! Just keep swimming!!!
