Snowman and Bunny...Addicted to Stamps and More #153~Holiday, City Crafter Challenge #270~Woodland Animals

Hello!

Welcome to
Addicted to Stamps and More #153~Holiday where my fabulous design team and I are inviting you to showcase cards that are holiday themed.

My card is simply...well, simple! Being in the zone of hectic for the last while had me asking Kylie for a 'challenge miss', because Mr. Mojo has vacated the premises.  At the last minute, however, I remembered my as-yet-unused Purple Onion stamps I ordered last Christmas, so out came this snowman and bunny set...and so, too, did my new 12-set of Ziggies.  First 'public' showcase of both.

Technically, this is not quite a holiday card - no sentiment - but considering the several attempts at colouring with the markers that this took, I wasn't going to chance something 'crooked' or 'splotchy' from happening.  Let's pretend the sentiment is...oh, *Snowman-y Hugs*, or *Merry Christmas* or *Warm Winter Hugs*...

Please head over to see what my talented team-mates have created that are full-on holiday-themed (as compared to mine that's flirting on the edge).  Maybe I'll add a sentiment later.  For now, I'm just happy my water-colour attempts are okay-ish.  And that bunny...way tooooooooo cute, hugging that darling heart-toting, carrot-nose-sporting, striped-scarf-and-hat-accessoried, Wink of Stella sparkly snowman....

Now, bring out your holiday-themed card/project and play along! The prize to entice you...

Prize - 3 images up to $10

  3. Hahaha. I had to laugh so hard when I read that you didn't want to chance it. Been there! Done that! I always forget that I should stamp my sentiment BEFORE coloring it.. Grrr! But your snowman is downright ADORABLE! Perfect coloring and he's sure to make anyone's Christmas extra merry!

  9. I don't think it needs a sentiment its great as it is.
Know where you are coming from with the wonky sentiment though, but that's what is so good about fussy cutting! :)

  20. ADORABLE! And I totally understand about not stamping on a sentiment! lol I'm the same way at times...because I will make a card over several times if need be, just because something is crooked. lol ;) Though I have say, I think your card works perfectly without one!
And thank you for all your super sweet comments on my blog! Enjoy your Summer! :)

  21. ...no sentiment needed as far as I'm concerned! This image is so cute it really doesn't need anything more on the front of the card! A bit of intrigue for the recipient to see the message inside!

BTW....hear you loud & clear on the missing Mojo....although I'd say he's back at your house after seeing this sweet card!

  22. Well done with your new goodies!! What are your thoughts on the Ziggies?? I've been thinking of buying the 12 pack myself but not sure. Would love to hear how they've been for you. This is such a sweet scene and that little bunny is so adorable. I hope Mr Mojo has turned back up and filling you with amazing ideas again!

  24. As always, Carol, your card is wonderful! And it's even more wonderful because you selected to color a snowman — with the current heat wave that is rolling through Europe, I like to imagine nothing more than winter, darkness, cold and snow. It might sound strange, but I will take a snow day to a heat wave any day! So, of course, I kept sitting in front of my screen, staring longingly at your snowman, and thinking back to the wonderful cold days that we had in January.

Thanks for the short, although it only mental, escape to colder times!

  25. Seems Monsieur Mojo only had a fleeting moment of absence, Carol ... your sweet snowman and friend, bunny are just a delight! Gorgeous colouring with those Ziggies ... and of course the twinkly Wink of Stella! Hugs, Anita :)

  28. Gorgeous card, Carol. That little bunny is sooooooo cute and you've coloured it all beautifully. I know that feeling of adding a sentiment and that thought going through your head 'please don't ruin it, please stamp perfectly..arrrrghh'!! xx

  29. So cute, Carol... truly adorable.

  30. Oh so cute, Miss C! I don't think cards always need to have a sentiment on them. Sometimes they look finished without them. Your card is no exception and the colouring is wonderful!

  31. You are WAY too hard on yourself, Carol. This card is just darling and your virgin Ziggie use is terrific.
