I'm rushing in with a crack-of-dawn, foggy Monday morning (weather and *me*...had yet another one of those sleepless nights...grrr...) to share my sort-of collage-ish butterfly card. The elements are an unusual pairing, but...I 'think' they work okay together.
My layout inspiration came from Freshly Made Sketches #185
and the colours from Fusion~French Twist, with some extra incentive from the amazingly talented and sweet Michele, at icardeveryone, who has cooked up not just one, but two, gorgeous cards using this yellow-and-grey combination.
Time to stare in my closet, to figure out what to wear to work (our classroom is a sauna one hour, a freezer the next), eat breakfast and head off.
Have a marvelous Monday and thank you so much for dropping by! Your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!
Hugs,
Oooo! A lemon-buttery yellow butterfly! Beautimous! You knocked the yellow and gray scheme out of the park. As for what to wear, may I suggest zippable footie pajamas? They are nice and warm for the freezer bits, and when it gets hot you can just let the zipper down a little. Genius! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou just keep rockin' those challenges, girlfriend! I love that you often use butterflies...they are so sweet, and such a signature for you! As for me, I'm still in my jammies. Waiting for DH to get up so I can get his list for the grocery store! If I didn't have to leave the house, I'd wear them alllll day, lol! I'm with Becca on this - footie jammies sounds like the perfect outfit! Have a great week. Bev
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite colour combos. Lovely card :) Sorry about the low sleep nights...peri-menopause can be a culprit. Melatonin is a natural sleep aid if you haven't tried it. Wishing you a great week.
