Collage-ish Fancy Butterfly...Freshly Made Sketches #185, Fusion~French Twist

Hello!

I'm rushing in with a crack-of-dawn, foggy Monday morning (weather and *me*...had yet another one of those sleepless nights...grrr...) to share my sort-of collage-ish butterfly card. The elements are an unusual pairing, but...I 'think' they work okay together.


My layout inspiration came from Freshly Made Sketches #185

and the colours from Fusion~French Twist, with some extra incentive from the amazingly talented and sweet Michele, at icardeveryone, who has cooked up not just one, but two, gorgeous cards using this yellow-and-grey combination.


Time to stare in my closet, to figure out what to wear to work (our classroom is a sauna one hour, a freezer the next), eat breakfast and head off.

    Oooo! A lemon-buttery yellow butterfly! Beautimous! You knocked the yellow and gray scheme out of the park. As for what to wear, may I suggest zippable footie pajamas? They are nice and warm for the freezer bits, and when it gets hot you can just let the zipper down a little. Genius! ;)

    You just keep rockin' those challenges, girlfriend! I love that you often use butterflies...they are so sweet, and such a signature for you! As for me, I'm still in my jammies. Waiting for DH to get up so I can get his list for the grocery store! If I didn't have to leave the house, I'd wear them alllll day, lol! I'm with Becca on this - footie jammies sounds like the perfect outfit! Have a great week. Bev

    One of my favorite colour combos. Lovely card :) Sorry about the low sleep nights...peri-menopause can be a culprit. Melatonin is a natural sleep aid if you haven't tried it. Wishing you a great week.

    What a pretty collage-ish card! I love the yellow with the grey and the butterfly is just beautiful! I am working with some lovely butterflies for an upcoming release and I keep thinking of you ;) I hope you get some sleep tonight! I occasionally have one of those kinds of nights. Happy week!     Boy oh Boy! I go awol for nearly a fortnight and you have produced a shop full of cards! ALL AWESOME I have to say. So colourful, bright, happy and very professional. How do you find the time...you have to be so full of ideas...no wonder you cannot sleep! I've missed your creations while my computer has been poorly...so glad to be back and catching up with you.
