Elephants and Umbrellas...Inkspirational Challenge #77, ColourQ #281, CASology #135~Mini

Hello,

Today, it's word prompt time over at Inspirational Challenge #77

Sprinkle...such a pleasant sounding word that evokes all kinds of images, ideas and impressions.  A sprinkle of rain, a sprinkling of sugar, sprinkles as decoration, a little sprinkly splash, the name of a darling pet...possibilities galore!

This week, we're joined by sweet, talented Beate / Stempelomi, a passionate designer for the past 10 years.  Her sprinkle-inspired card: pure delight!  Please do visit Beate at her blog, as well as my DT members:   Sandie, Marina, Shauna, Yvonne, Nonni, Pia, and Kim.  Leaving them a sprinkle of love will make their day!

I have two 'mini-image' cards to share for this challenge:

First is my wee elephant, with a little trunk sprinkle...


His colours were inspired by ColourQ #281:


Second, is my wee umbrella-in-the-rain card. My basement attempts at photography don't capture the 'blue' of the stenciled rain and sponged cloud very well, so I'll be giving this another go in the daylight. Hopefully, the sun will be shining...

    Sweet cards! I like the play on the sprinkle theme. The friend card is very nice. It's good to be tucked under the umbrella of friendship. The first card, though, oh my! That drew a sweet grin. I adore the ear! Unexpected surprise to see the flowers. The color of the elephant is neat and how cute to see the sprinkle of water from the trunk. Excellent work, Carol! :)

    Oooooh, that elephant is so sweet with his flowered ear, he melts my heart! And the tiny umbrella with the sponged rain splatters - delightful!

    That wee little elephant on that wee little "baby" is absolutely charming!! His flowered ear makes me smile! And I love your grayish blue rain coming down on that cheerful umbrella.

    The water from the elephant's truck is such a cute way to interpret sprinkle, Carol. And I love the rain and umbrella card. That's the first thing I thought of will will make my card around.

    Lovely cards Carol :) And i can see the blue on your cloud ...great job with the umbrella and rain ive one umbrella stamps and die set and just cannot make it work lol

    Fun cards - that mini elephant completely made me smile and gasp with delight!! Love the colors you used on him and what a delightfully simple and sweet card!! And your umbrella card - what a fun, cool stencil with the appearance of rain sprinkles - putting this challenge on my list since I definitely think I can come up with something for it!!     Carol, your card is super cute, super CAS and that little CBS elephant is perfect for a baby card. What a good idea with the sprinkle of water from the elephant trunk. I would never myself have gotten that idea.

    OK, so I love elephants (who doesn't) and to see how you combined the elephant with the sprinkle challenge is just sooooo darling. Let alone the fresh colors. Total delight!
