Butterfly Birthdays x 2...Happy Little Stamper February Sketch Challenge, ShowCASe Your Style#9~Birthday, Winnie and Walter~Join in to Win, Simply Create Too #79~Anything Goes, Less is More #212~Things with Wings, Colour Q #280

Hi again,

"Just enough time" before I begin my salad making duties to share two cards that were inspired by Happy Little Stamper February Sketch Challenge.  I was 'this close' to not trying, and then my new Uniko butterflies, paired with some new stencils, pinged a pong (thank you, sweet Bev, for coining this most fabulous phrase!

I made this card first, and then,



after a stroll through some other challenges, I hit upon ColourQ #280, which reminded me that I have Blackberry Bliss ink (and paper) in my stash! Woo hooo....and so, another butterfly metamorphosis. The other two colours are as close as I could get; the  'happy' is a Winnie and Walter cut-away, using gold foil...


 One of these cards will be winging its way to our darling, sweet, amazing Anita, who celebrated her birthday last week. She'll have to wait to see which it is *grin*

    Love the butterfly image! Lovely bold sentiment on the first card and adore the leaf in the BG and the gold sentiment on the second.

    Two more beauties, Carol ... you've created such a wonderful sense of movement on the first with those splatters ... and a lovely calm, serene 'poised-on-a-leaf' feeling on the second!     Two absolutely stunning cards - I am especially in love with your golden "happy"! It makes the whole card shine! That ombre sponging on your first card paired with the background splatter is wonderful. The second card is a bit bolder, but you are contrasting it with a more subtle background - swoon!

    Wow - awesome find! These stamps scream CAROL! You're off to a fine, fine start showcasing these pretties!

    I love the contrast of the bold sentiment paired with the soft shades of purple in your first card. Nice switch-up with your second card - bold colors in the butterfly paired with a subtle and elegant gold sentiment! I'm quite sure that Anita will be thrilled to receive either one of these great cards!

    PS Glad to hear that I'm not the only one who is late mailing her b-day card!

    What you do with butterflies is what artists do with canvases!!! You amaze me and every butterfly card you make is delightfully pretty and ready for lift-off!! They make me remember summer days chasing a monarch around my backyard and I am so grateful that you are able to capture photos of your beautiful creations so they don't flit away before I have had a chance to admire and drool all over them!!! May your heart be light and happy today knowing you are Oh, SO loved!!!!
