Heartfelt Thanks x 2....NN Designs World Card-making Day Link-Up and Inky Paws Challenge #14~Fall Color Challenge, Virginia's View Challenge # 8, Butterfly Challenge #15 Butterfly in Autumn Colours

Happy World Card-Making Day!

While many of you are spending the day crafting  your hearts out, my husband and I are off to the 'big city' for cycling meetings, followed by officiating at a cyclo-cross race. "Dark Knight" is one of the most popular 'cross races of the year, with the first race starting at 5pm and the last at 9:30pm.  Mazes, fog machines, even 'rumours' of a fire pit are part of this year's zany, crazy, competitions. We're expecting 245 competitors all told...I better have my game on for getting order of finish correct!

Before we head off, I'm sharing a card I made this morning (one of two...I was up really early), for the following challenges:

Newton's Nook World Card-making Day Link-up

I don't have - yet - any Newton's Nook fall-themed stamps (Halloween and Christmas though - got those!), but I do have the oh-so-pretty Simply Sentimental set. Jen's hand-written swirly fonts are gorgeous, and I hope she doesn't mind that I paired her 'heartfelt thanks' with a sponged-background - yellow, green, orange, brown - butterfly.

Off to enter this, do a second quick post, then get ready for a long day of  bike-themed events.

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!

  18. Just between the two of us, Carol – this card make me squeal! I mean, you have stitched lines everywhere and you have an amazing sponged background literally glowing through the diecut shape! I sometimes look at my supplies and think since I have similar dies or colors I could make a card just like yours. And then I fail miserably because you're an awesome crafter and I'm yet still only the apprentice. But I'm striving – oh, I am striving... :)
