My creation today is one of my homework assignments from Day 7 of Stretch Your Stamps 2 online card class,
inspired by Laura Bassen's lesson on transforming a graphic shaped stamp into a new shape. I went with an image from my Annabelle Stamps Scribble Scrabble 2 set and pretty much cased Laura's card. It's simple (especially to recreate), clean, crisp...and a wonderful way to see the possibilities of graphic stamps.
In fact, to show you how easy this technique is, I made a second one
sparked by CAS(E) this Sketch #88

Looking forward to seeing your CAS-ilicious delights!

Awesome cards, dearie!!
ReplyDeleteWow Carol awesome cards! Simple yet very colorful!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS rainbow specturm flower(s)!! Love the look and the negative space is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of both the cards :) we can never go wrong with the rainbow colors !!
ReplyDeleteOh how I adore these cards, Carol! Maybe my favorite I'd seen of people's homework! Note to self: finish the stencil class so you can justify taking another one--LOL!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Carol! Love how you _didn't_ mask off the shapes but have them overlapping. The dimensional effect is pretty neat … I'm usually masking off everything for fear it would look messy, but I really like the look you got here. Now I need to find my Clearly Besotted Geometric shapes and time to use them … *hurries off* :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome technique! I wish I could see things differently like that. The colours are amazing, Carol. I too love that you overlapped them! xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a bright and cheerful pair of cards Carol, looks like a great technique. :)
ReplyDeleteCrisp, clean, pretty and perfect! Both cards are just amazing. Love the ideas you share with us, Carol. So inspiring!

ReplyDeleteOk once again I'm picking up my jaw off the floor, these cards are awesome!!! Here I was ohhhing and ahhhing over the circle card and now I'm ohhhing and ahhhing over this one too. I can't believe how you can take a simple what looks like a petal and make some this gorgeous Carol! I really need to start looking at my stamps in a different light. Of course I'm not sure I'm creative enough to come up with something like this on my own. lol Love these my friend. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards for your 'homework' LOL!!! Love how you added dimension by popping up a layer!!
ReplyDeleteA big fan of rainbow colour scheme! :) Love your card.
