I
In my first attempt, I was aiming to replicate the inlaid die cuts, with PS flowers that I sponged. Okay, I guess, but I was hoping for something much prettier...
Round 2 tag...went back to my much loved butterflies and dragonfly...and all three are sponged (pink, yellow, coral...well, technically 'cantaloupe'), then coated with a hefty helping of stickles. Sparkly....
My husband's home...time to hustle and shuffle our way up and down that gorgeous canyon!
NOTE: Super thrilled and honoured that my tag was a Favourite over at Tag, You're It Challenge #4. I'm wowed by this!! THANK YOU!!
Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day.
Oh my...love them BOTH! Your second card is AMAZING.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are gorgeous and quite lovely but you always shine when you use your beloved butterflies. Turned out amazing and such a cool looking tag. So impressed with these!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful tags! Love the inlaid flowers on the first and the shimmer on the second!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards - loved the second the best though because it screams Carol!! :) Just lovely!!
ReplyDeleteLove your 2nd tag for its bold green background and sponged butterflies and a dragonfly. This is so cool take on Marion's tag!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, both of them! Those inlaid and sponged flowers in the first tag are so pretty with the gems in the center and the second one is a sparkly piece of art!
ReplyDeleteTwo really gorgeous tags, Carol! Beautiful inking and a great choice of elements on each one! I could spend hours perusing your blog...your cards and tags are so inspiring...Thank you!
ReplyDeleteFabulous inlay on the first and adore all that green on the second an wonderful placement of the dies.
ReplyDeleteBoth are so cute! I just ordered those butterfly/dragonfly dies and I have definitely filed away your lovely "cantaloupe" coloring for my future use - they are beautiful, particularly on the green and woodgrain. I hope you had a wonderful hike!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean that you hoped for something prettier?!!! That first tag is gorgeous with your inlaid dies!!! I love how you inked up the butterflies and dragonfly-that I will have to remember to do. Both of your tags are fabulous Carol and I'm glad you got home to get them in the challenge. Hugs, Brenda
