The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #239 - L is for Lindsey - Friends, Always (Colorado Craft Co.)

Hello,

The Sisterhood Of Snarky Stampers Challenge #239 is a tribute to our lovely, wonderful Lindsey, who we lost on July 21, 2022. I don't even have words to express how deeply I miss her every. single. day.

In honour of Lindsey, I'm bringing a cat to the challenge, because we well know her love for felines, especially her precious Duncan. My Anita Jeram kitty, sporting his fancy fall/winter clothing, is a cutie and, I found, easy to colour (whew!). Friends Always just seemed right...

I have another L is for Lindsey card to come...see you soon, Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! And, thank you for this fabulous challenge for our friend!

NOTE: Thrilled that Edna and the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers selected my card as the Queen of Snark.
Thank you for dropping by!

Inkspirational Challenge #295 - Use Stencils (Optional: Use Layering Stencils - Big Hugs Flower) (C and 9th Flower Press)

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #295, For the next two weeks, we're inviting you to have some fun with stencils - basically anything goes in terms of stencil style and theme - but you're also welcome to use the optional twist - Use Layering Stencils. With the wide range of stencils in the craft-iverse (the embossing folder + stencil combinations are dazzling me at present), we're sure you'll find something fabulous in your collection to share.

Concord and 9th's Flower Press stencils are wonderful and the results are so pretty. The four stencils add different floral components to your card panel, which means you can use all four or just one, depending on the look you're aiming to achieve.  I've use them all and added a sentiment (stacked four deep for dimension and adhered to a vellum backing) from Just Say More dies.

Looking forward to seeing your stencil sensations in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls #690 - CASE DT - For the Record (Concord and 9th)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #690, where we're inviting you to CASE a Design Team Member. By CASE, we mean any of the following: Copy and 'Selectively' Edit or Copy and 'Slightly' Edit or, my personal favourite (LOL!) Copy and Share Everything! To be honest: when I see cards I love and have, consequently, been 'influenced' to buy the products, I full on aim to 'copy' said cards. Why mess with perfection. Of course, if I share, I always give credit to the originator and that, my friends, is what is key.

For our challenge, choose one of the design member's cards and CASE it. Share, in your post, the card you selected and what inspired you in the making of your version; them, style, colours, images...plenty of choices.

Here's my card, featuring the For the Record collection from Concord and 9th. Circles, colours, repeated patterns, gold/black/pink, big sentiments...lots of selection if you decide to CASE my card. And if you do: thank you! I am honoured!

Looking forward to your CASE-inspired cards in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #689 - CAS Week - Three of something...Just Because Flowers (Concord and 9th)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #689, where our lovely hostess, Ina, invites us to use THREE of SOMETHING on our Clean and Simple Cards.

Once again, we're delighted to have Kristin Sluhan joining us as our July Guest Designer; her triple 'something' card is *hot*!

A while back, I watercoloured (yep, me...hard to believe) Concord & 9th's pretty Flowers a la Carte set and, because the inks were out, painted an extra set of flowers and containers. Although my watercolouring is rather 'meh', I think these make a sweet trio.

Looking forward to seeing the three somethings you'll be bringing to the gallery.
Remember: keep your card clean and simple!

Thank you for dropping by!

Color Hues Challenge #68 - Olive and Berry - Blended Petals Happy Birthday (Concord and 9th, TE)

Hello,

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #68, where our sweet, super talented Nancy invites us to play with hues of Olive and Berry for the next two weeks. Such a pretty combination, especially since berry covers a range from light pink to deeper purples.

We're delighted to have previous winner Bonnie joining us.
Brand new stamps, stencils and dies - aptly named Blended Petals - from Concord & 9th are making their debut. The blooms (so easy to stencil, by the way) are sporting light-to-dark hues of Picked Raspberry; the leaves are Crushed Olive. I'm smitten with these flowers! The triangle background is also from Concord & 9th.

Looking forward to seeing how Olive and Berry inspire you!

This challenge will be open until July 28th @ 9:00 AM EST

Thank you for dropping by!

Reminder Post for I'm an Elf For Christmas Kickstart Challenge #76 - Gingerbread Treats

Hello,

I'm excited to be back with a Reminder Post for my "Elf" role over at Christmas Kickstart Challenge #76.

I have two tag-shaped cards for you (Mama Elephant) inspired by oh-so-talented Nicole Spohr.  The first features products from Papertrey Ink's Gingerbread Bakery collection. I love the gingerbread people (do you see that wee one under the cake dome...so cute!), snowflake cookie and gingerbread house.

My second features Papertrey Ink products once again, but this time paired with Your Next Stamp's Sweet Cookies gingerbreads. Cutie-patooties, right!

Hope you'll play along with us over the rest of the month.
Remember: you don't *need* to use gingerbread people; we'll take gingerbread in any form! YUM!
Thank you for dropping by!

Inkspirational Challenge #294 - Moodboard - Weekender Purse

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #294.  Given we're mid-July (already!), the month where many embark on holidays, we have a travel/journey mood board as inspiration for the next two weeks. You can draw ideas from the images, colours, overall travel-theme or whatever else captures your fancy from the board. We'd be happy to see some of your holiday layouts/album pages, too.

I haven't played with my Concord & 9th's Weekender Purse for ages and I've decided it's a delightful fit for our mood board.  The papers are from P13's Sunshine Collection. I love that a heart/key dangle can be added to the purse straps, if you so choose...and sunglasses.

How will the Mood Board inspire you?
Looking forward to seeing your creativity in the gallery.

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #688 - Moodboard - Stitched Flower Birthday Greetings (Spellbinders, TE)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #688, where our lovely hostess, Lisa E, has selected a fabulous mood board as inspiration this week.  Raspberries + flowers + kitten + many more pretty items = so much to spark your creativity.

Once again, we're thrilled to have Kristin joining us as our July Guest Designer.

As you can see, the pretty flowers, in different shades of pink/red, caught my eye. Playing today are products from Spellbinders (the stitched flowers and embossing folder, Pinkfresh Studio (the banner) and Taylored Expressions (sentiment). The flowers are so sweet, with or without stitching.

Looking forward to seeing how the Mood Board inspires you.

HLS Anything Goes with Dies Challenge July 2023 - Flowers A La Carte (Concord and 9th)

Hello,

About a year ago, I bought Concord & 9th's Flowers a la Carte stamp + dies collection and, once it arrived, I put it into my *ahem* rather large 'new and must play with' bin. Time passed, the bin accumulated yet more new products and the poor cart was being shoved to the back. During a recent sort through/re-organize, I spotted it and, while I'm not a fan of water-colouring (I love what others do, though), I gave it a go (distress inks)...and I'm fairly pleased with the results. In fact, so pleased that I made another three cards! You may see a couple down the road. Just a side note: the dies cut like butter!

Looking forward to seeing your creativity with dies.

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #687 - Word Week - Much Appreciocean Seashells (Your Next Stamp, MFT)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #687, where our lovely hostess, Nancy, has selected SEASHELLS as this week's Word inspiration.

Once again, we're delighted to have Kristin Shulan joining us as our July Guest Designer.

Because we don't have many (if any, actually) seashell-type beaches in my part of Alberta, I haven't had a need for anything shell/beach themed. BUT, when I spotted the Waves and Shells stencil at Your Next Stamp (which, sadly, are closing down), I knew I had to have it. Ohmystars! It is sturdy, pretty and all-around fun to use! I used an assortment of Concord & 9th inks for the shells, as well as for the trio of sea creatures, which are from an older MFT set. The sentiment is part of that same collection, stamped on a layered label die from MCT. I love when quality products make me feel all artsy! LOL!

Looking forward to seeing your SEASHELLS-inspired cards/projects in the gallery.

Thank you for dropping by!

HLS Stencil Challenge July 2023 - Anything Goes - Coffee Mugs Thanks So Much (TE Perk Up Kit)

Hello,

Welcome to the July 2023 Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge where the theme is always Anything Goes.

Once again, my Taylored Expressions Perk Up kit has come out for a play, this time with one of the die cut coffee mugs. Seriously, this collection has so much versatility. The mugs make me smile; I want to have one of each for my coffee.

Looking forward to seeing your stencil sensations in the gallery.

Thank you for dropping by!

HLS Christmas Challenge July 2023 - Anything Goes (Optional - Twinkle)...On the Lookout (Colorado Craft)

Hello,

Welcome to the July 2023 Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge, where you can choose between Anything Goes or the optional twist which, this month, is *Twinkle*.

I'm slowly making my way through my assortment of Colorado Craft Co./Anita Jeram images and ohmystars! They are so incredibly cute! Making its debut is On the Lookout, which I distress ink water-coloured (shocking for me!). The die cut image is added to a Tim Holtz brick wall stenciled background and an ink blended, snowy window view. I added a stamped Santa's sleigh from Gina K Designs.  Hopefully, the stocking, Santa and stars make clear this is a Christmas Eve scene. Next time, I'll use brighter colours, but for now, I'm happy with the kind of muted, softer look.

Excited to see the Christmas cards you'll be sharing.

Thank you for dropping by!

I'm an Elf For Christmas Kickstart Challenge #76 - Gingerbread Treats

Hello,

Early July and here, in Alberta, we're just taking our first steps into full-blown summer and guess what?  I'm an ELF over at Christmas Kickstart Challenge #76! Beyond excited to have been invited by wonderful, creative Jo to join her this month. The idea behind her challenge is that her guest designs a card which she, in turn, draws inspiration from in creating her card. Then, she invites everyone to join in the fun with their takes on the theme and/or cards shared. A great way to get a lead on those Christmas cards we'll be needing in short order.

For this month, the theme is Gingerbread Treats.

My card features a number of stamps/dies from the way-too-cute Gingerbread Bakery collection for PaperTrey Ink. I'm especially smitten with the menu board items. Just Be-Claus Cupcakes? Yes please, with a double scoop of Cookie Dough-Ho-Ho Ice Cream. Serious cuteness, that makes my Christmas spirit soar and festive sweet tooth tingle!

Of course, we also need to see what kinds of goodies you can find in the bakery, so I made a cookie sheet tag:

Card + tag:

Head over to the Christmas Kickstart Challenge blog, where you'll be blown away by Jo's take on Gingerbread Treats. Her card is scrumptious!

Hope you'll play along; I know you have yummy gingerbread treats in your stashes!
Thank you for dropping by!
